We require a junior mechanics design engineer role to join our client who specialise in the design and production of luxury mobile telephone handsets.
Role: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Fleet, Hampshire
Salary: Up to 30k
General Purpose
Works as an Design Engineer within the Mechanics Team as part of a product creation program for the design and development of luxury handsets and accessories.
Main Responsibility Area
Works upon the design and development of components and assemblies through from conceptual design, detail design, early builds and testing until stable production is achieved.
Responsible for specification, problem solving, together with other team members, and close support to the final assembly area.
Key Tasks
- Has responsibility for a specified technology or development area within the product development. Follows defined process within specified technology, product and competence area.
- The creation and maintenance of 3d/2d CAD data.
- Analysis of parts and the creation of feedback to suppliers based upon part performance in build and test.
- Problem solving and design development to achieve the required part cosmetic standard, performance and - production yields.
