Based in Stoke ST4 4AL, the Gas Safe Accredited Engineer will be responsible for technical performance, maintenance and industry standards within the Stoke Schools PFI contract. My client, a leading international quantity surveying practice, require a Senior M&E Project Surveyor to provide building services cost management on a range of projects. My client is looking for someone to start as soon as possible, the ideal candidate having the following attributes:

M&E Senior Project Surveyor (contract) - Birmingham

My client, a leading international quantity surveying practice, require a Senior M&E Project Surveyor to provide building services cost management on a range of projects. Initially on 7 month contract, there is a strong possibility of progression to a permanent position. My client is looking for someone to start as soon as possible, the ideal candidate having the following attributes:

RICS/CIBSE or equivalent (candidates with good equivalent experience will also be considered)

Preferably experience within a PQS practice since qualification. Candidates from a contracting background with relevant experience of M&E cost management will also be considered.

Candidate needs to be an independent, self starter, equally happy working on their own and in a team.

Typical duties will include:

•Carry out pre and post contract cost management on a variety of projects from feasibility stage to final account completion.

•Assist the Partner and/or team leader on the project.

•Carry out and /or assist with cost planning, value engineering, option analysis, procurement advice, preparation of tender documentation, returned tender analysis and contractor selection.

•Carry out post contract duties such as valuations, cost report management, change management, and final account agreement.

•Assist in the training, mentoring and development of junior members of staff.

•Develop specialist technical and financial knowledge of a sector and develop contacts within prospective Clients and key colleagues in that sector.

Job Purpose

The primary functions of the Senior Facilities Manager is to manage the allocated portfolio and the delivery of Facilities Management, assisting the Account Manager and Executive Account Leader with the preparation & provision of key deliverables; driving and implementing best practice tools on the account; undertaking portfolio analysis in support of strategic objectives of the client.

• Undertake data analysis activities on the client portfolio to identifying trends, themes, outlying data etc to support portfolio activities and wider client strategy.

Your responsibilities will include HVAC, Water supply, Fire protection, Lighting, automatic controls, sanitation, public health, safety systems, acoustics and facade engineering.

The main overview of the job is to provide independently or under direction as appropriate a professional technical service encompassing feasibility studies, designing, specification, project management and commissioning, and final account to meet all requirements of a client and the aspirations of the practice.
